From a young age I was drawn to foreign languages and the art of communicating with all different types of people.  My love of culture and languages led me to a liberal arts degree in French, German and Business Administration but, by graduation I was already sure that my future path lied more in the area of natural health.  Living in Japan for a few years allowed me to gain experience teaching English as a foreign language while pursuing other traditional healing modalities such as Shiatsu and Reiki.  Living and traveling in Asia allowed me to further my learning with training in traditional Thai massage and four months living in a yoga ashram in India.  I came to the realization that I wanted to support people in their healing, and that working with anything less than the energetic source of dis-ease would feel superficial.  This decision ultimately led me to the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine and the beautiful Pacific Northwest which I now call home.

Leslie specializes in treating car accident & injury cases, stress, women's health (fertility, menstrual pain and disorders etc.), and children's health.

I come to Chinese Medicine from a road with twists and turns starting from a young age with the curiosity of what makes people tic.  Of particular interest was what makes people healthy  and happy.  These early interests led me to study martial arts from a young age on to yoga and philosophy in college and an undergraduate degree from University of Michigan in Studies in World Religion.  Religion was a particular interest to me because it helped give me an idea of how people see the world.  After college I worked and traveled in different fields and then while living in Boulder, Co I discovered Qigong (pronounced Chee Gong).  This is a branch of Chinese medicine (see "Chinese Medicine 101" article).  I began to study Qigong and was so interested in the practice that I apprenticed (multi-year study)  to be an instructor of the Qigong and began teaching the practice.  The teachings of Qigong first led me to interact with people dealing with health and wellness.  After I had been teaching qigong for a couple of years I decided that I wanted to work with people and their health in deeper ways and decided to enroll in Chinese Medicine School.

Dan specializes in treating headaches, TMJ/TMD, GERD and anxiety and depression.
